Haven't been doing much art outside of work lately, but with our game getting ready to ship soon (fingers crossed!), it's about time to do something. Trying to re-work the most onerous painting ever (Elizabeth Bathory) - the painting I've lost to blue screens more than once, and had to redo about 7 times now. Why not? I like the pain... And I think I've been away from it long enough I can stand to look at it now. Also trying to poke at the Marie Antoinette pink thing.

Diving back into the CHOW on ConceptArt.org... This week the topic is a character at least 20% covered in tattoos, and someone who looks like they'd been invested in their tattoos.

She's the Devil/the Serpent - so all the imagery in her tattoos will reflect back towards that theme. Still a wip - will absolutely have it done for the deadline on Monday, tho :D

My most recently finished piece, for the girly thunderdome on ConceptArt.org - topic was tarot cards, this is the Ace of Cups.

Ace of Cups - Everything starts with love, so they say, and this is certainly true of the Cups suit. The Ace of Cups is the initial flow of emotion that could become a mighty river is given time and attention. It is the planted - but still dormant - seed of great love and affection in the future, the first stirrings of passion, joy and insight. Often, the Ace of Cups will predict the start of a relationship, one that is full of potential and may eventually lead to true love and happiness. But you must always remember that the Ace can show only potential, not the final result of a situation. If a relationship starts out well, it is up to the two people involved to keep it that way, and improve upon it in any possible manner. The Ace of Cups is not a guarantee of happiness, but a guarantee that you will have the chance to make happiness for yourself if you want to. All of these things associated with emotion and intuition run high when the Ace of Cups makes an appearance.
